Holiday Apartments & Tourism
Out of the template trap — an independent, SEO-strong holiday-farm website.
Stoacherhof is a family business in the Wipptal valley: four holiday apartments, its own apiary, guests from across the Alps. The website came as an add-on — bundled into a channel manager’s all-in-one package. Convenient at first, tight over time.
Because what looked like convenience was a dependency: SEO was hard to adjust, every change was slow and cost extra, and the one language that matters along the Brenner route — Italian — was missing entirely. The farm was paying for a website it couldn’t control.
„We wanted a website that belongs to us — not one we rent.“
The decision wasn’t technical but entrepreneurial: the farm should own its digital presence. Not another website builder that repackages the same dependency, but its own platform whose content, languages, and findability belong to the business.
We didn’t tear everything down at once. The existing booking integration stayed embedded as long as it served its purpose — the switch should never put daily operations at risk. Refinement, not demolition.
An independent platform on Next.js
Three languages from the ground up (DE/EN/IT), with dedicated detail pages for all four apartments — each with its own images, copy, and pricing, editable without a provider in between.
Technical SEO as the foundation
Structured data (Schema.org/JSON-LD), clean canonicals, sitemap, and robots.txt — so the farm is actually found in local search, including from the Italian side.
A data-driven regional hub
A hub for the Wipptal that serves local search intent — sights, distances, a map — and positions the farm as the gateway to the region.
Custom legal pages under Austrian law
Imprint, privacy, and terms done properly — GDPR-compliant, not clicked together from a generator.
- Full control over content and SEO — independent of the old provider package. Changes happen now, not eventually.
- Three languages for the right audience — DE/EN/IT opens up the Italian market directly along the Brenner route.
- Dedicated apartment pages plus a regional SEO hub — anyone researching the Wipptal can land on the farm.
- A presence that fits the business: personal, well-kept, independent.
The biggest lever wasn’t a feature but a decision: ownership over convenience. Once a business owns its platform, improvements become cheap — and that changes how often they happen. Migration also doesn’t mean rupture: the existing booking stayed online until its successor was ready. Not a single day without a working website.
